Latte e acidità di stomaco sono correlati? Anche a voi è stato consigliato di bere latte per curare l’acidità di stomaco o l’ulcera gastrica? Ci avete provato? Purtroppo non sempre i rimedi della nonna sono efficaci. Oppure lo sono, ma con qualche effetto collaterale.
E’ vero che il latte appena arriva nello stomaco neutralizza i succhi gastrici presenti in eccesso, ma a lungo termine può generare l’effetto opposto.
Ciò succede sia nello stomaco che nel duodeno, la prima parte dell’intestino dove “sfocia” il cibo acido lavorato dallo stomaco. A livello duodenale comporta una maggiore secrezione di sali biliari per digerire le proteine e i grassi in esso contenuti. Da qui ha inizio un’infiammazione cronica latente a livello duodenale, che nel lungo periodo può portare a conseguenze più gravi dell’acidità di stomaco e dell’ulcera gastrica.
A livello dello stomaco, quello che succede è che si allungano i tempi di digestione e di permanenza di questo alimento al suo interno, aumentando ovviamente la produzione di succhi gastrici.
Un circolo vizioso insomma: il latte tampona succhi gastrici che in seguito vengono prodotti in misura ancora maggiore per riuscire a digerirlo.
Cosa fare allora?
Bere latte ogni tanto, se vi piace, non è proibito, ma meglio trattare l’acidità di stomaco con prodotti effettivamente basici, oppure prodotti che proteggono lo stomaco da un’eccessiva acidità.
Come alimenti, è sicuramente più consigliabile mangiare qualcosa di “secco”, come crackers, gallette, biscottini, in caso non si voglia ricorrere ad integratori alimentari.
